Short CV

Ploutarchos Psomiadis is a postgraduate scholar in the University of Athens. He graduated from the Physics Department, University of Ioannina and acquired a Master in “Science Education”, from the University of Athens. The title of his master thesis was: “The presence of Soviet Science in Greece in the period 1945-1992”. He has acquired his Phd in Environmental Science Education from the Pedagogical Department of Primary Education of the University of Athens. The title of his thesis was: “Environmental Science Education: Teaching about the Ozone”. For the completion of his Phd studies he wan three years scholarship, from the state scholarship foundation. His work in environmental science education is presented in an article published in the Journal of Science Education and Technology and in several Proceedings of International and National Conferences. Also, he has participated as an educator in several state or university trainings concerning environmental science or environmental education and addressed to in-service or pre-service teachers.
